If Only Tiger Woods Had Self Destructing Text Messages With TigerText

Imagine what the Golf/Sporting industry would’ve been like if Tiger Woods didn’t have text messaging? Or how about text messaging that “self destructs”?

That’s right… the folks over at X Sigma have used the Tiger Woods example as an opportunity to scrap together something totally sweet. They’ll allow you to send a text message that will automatically delete itself on both the sender’s and recipient’s phones after a pre-determined period of time.

So let’s go in to detail. You want to send a booty call SMS to your mistress while your wife is away on business. You “tigertext” her with a message kill time of 3 days. She gets the message, comes over, you have your fun and then the text will automatically be deleted from her phone as well as YOUR phone after 3 days.

Go get em tiger, get em tiger, get get get em tiger. :)

Widebody Porsche Panamera CLR 700 GT is LUMMAlicious

One word… WOW.  There will be quite a handful of prestigious car tuners at the Geneva Auto Show this year, but this Porsche Panamera stood out to me. This CLR 700 GT puts down 691 hp and is based on the turbo Panamera engine.

IBM Attempts to End Automotive Traffic For Good

IBM is trying to dip their pen in to just about everyone’s ink now a days! Not necessarily a bad thing of course. They’ve announced that they will be conducting studies to virtually “eliminate” automotive traffice. They’ll be using advanced analytics engines to build personalized travel routes for commuters.  Naturally the routes will adapt depending on driving volume, time of day, route history, etc.

I’m not too sure if they’ve heard about it, but two words IBM… Google Maps.

AT&T 3G MicroCell Available In A Few More Markets

We spoke about AT&T’s MicroCell appearances in Charlotte, NC a few months ago but things have changed for the better. Initially it was supposed to be a fairly inexpensive device “up front” but there was going to be a monthly surcharge for usage.

Now the MicroCell is available in five different markets:

• Georgia
• North Carolina
• South Carolina
• San Diego
• Las Vegas

AT&T is hoping to get this in to everyone’s hands for around $150 and NO monthly fees. NICE! If you have no idea what I’m talking about…… you take the MicroCell, connect it to your broadband router and it will automatically boost your AT&T network signal strength significantly. Great if you live in a deadspot or if you have thick cement and steel walls that don’t allow the signal to penetrate.

Spoke Too Soon! V-Moda Remix Remote Headphones Take the Cake

Now it all makes sense. Just when I was beginning to feel dissapointed about V-moda not delivering, I just found out about the new V-moda Remix earbuds. Boy do they look sweeeet as heck!

The headphones are a totally new design and have drivers optimized for bass and clarity. The remote control is built on to the cord and will allow iPhone 3GS users to make/recieve calls, adjust volume and change tracks. The buds feature 9mm V-MASQUE neodymium units(wow!) and have a “Beat-Port” airflow system to improve the soundstage. I’m totally blown away. Best of all, you can buy them at the Apple Store right now for $99.99! They’ll be available online in March.

I’m running straight to the Apple store……literally.

O2 Network Is Reaching for Vodafone’s And Orange’s Jugular! SIM Only iPhone Service

O2 has announced that they’re going to offer a “SIM-only” service for existing iPhone owners who feel that Vodafone and Orange are not cutting it. What does this mean? It’s simple… if you HATE your network provider(Vodafone or Orange), you could simply take a stroll over to an O2 store and have your pre-existing iPhone working on their network in minutes. Luckily their “SIM only” option will allow you to use your Visual Voicemail, unlimited SMS, data and Wi-Fi starting at £15 per month. Not Bad at all!

Time For New Klipsch iPod/iPhone Headphones Since V-Moda Is Dissapearing

Don’t get me wrong, I still feel that V-Moda makes a phenomenal product, but it seems like Apple is pulling them off their brick and mortar shelves. Not too sure why, but it time to start looking elsewhere should I ever run in to an emergency. We all know that Bose ear buds(as well as ANY of their products) suck @$$, so here is my proposal.

Should your beloved V-Modas(or sennheiser, etymotic research, shure, etc) fail, the Klipsh Image S4i is a STRONG BUY.

For $100(retail) you’ll get yourself phenomenal sound quality for your buck and they’re very comfortable to boot.  Klipsch is even kind enough to include a storage box and cleaning tools. What I really like about this particular set is that it has call answer, ipod playback and volume controls right on the cord! Nice!

Don’t forget that the cord should be managed using the handy ID badge clip we posted a few days ago. Remember, V-Moda… I still love you, but my warranty has run dry and should something happen….I’ll have no choice. :)

LG 3D HDTV Expected In March, LX9500

An insider has spilled the beans about LG’s upcoming HDTV lineup, which includes the 3D LX9500 television which is expected to ship mid May.  There will also be a more affordable version called the LX6500 which will also support 3D.  In order to take advantage of the three dimensional capabilities, they will also give you the option of purchasing their BD580 Blu-Ray player and active shutter glasses which are expected to be available sometime this April.

Another cool feature to look out for is the 720HD Skype camera option, which will turn some LG sets in to video VoIP stations, also expected to show up in May. If 3D doesn’t interest you, how about a .27 inch thick LED backlight display that will support 480Hz with sizes as large as 72inches? :-D
