This Whister Red Light Camera Detector does exactly what it claims. It detects red light cameras. The technology is a bit lousy since it doesn’t actually “look” for the cameras, but instead it relies on pre-programmed locations and GPS. So if you are going 110 through a red light and you pass a camera that isn’t programmed in to the database, guess what? You’re screwed. In the even that you do cross a camera in the database, you will be given both a visual and audio cue as you get closer.

The detector costs $200 and will charge a yearly fee of $20(first year is free).
