Anyone with half a brain knows that just about anything bearing the Audio Technica brand is quality. Audio Technica has launced a new accessory for the iPod/iPhone, the AT-PHA30i headphone amplifier. You simply connect the device to the dock connector and connect any 3.5mm headphones/speakers to it.
If you don’t understand why you would ever need this, you probably still use the crappy white earbuds the come in the box. For those that are actually interested, your higher end earbuds/cans will sound dozens of times better with this little contraption! In addition to amplifying the audio source, it also gives you the ability to change tracks and adjust volume.
The premium branded (and made in Japan) unit will be available around Christmas time for $140. I want one so bad!
