Ever since Apple has introduced their home brew POS system using iPod Touches with integrated magnetic strip readers, business big and small have been bugging them about it.
Apple has claimed that the device was proprietary and can not be sold, but it seems like Apple is trying to capture information about these businesses. Should Apple decide to commercialize the product, they’ll already have a database of potential customers. Looks like Motorola/Symbol, Verifone and Hypercom should be afraid…. very afraid.
